(Philadelphia, PA) January 6, 2011 – The debut self-titled album from new group Level 3:16, which was released December 28, 2010 on Cross Movement Records in partnership with non-profit ministry The Impact Movement, reached excellent charting success in its first week numbers. Offering an eclectic fusion of Hip Hop, R&B and Urban Gospel, the album Level 3:16 charted #1 on the R&B/Hip Hop Christian SoundScan Chart, #1 on Christian Rap Amazon MP3, #1 on Christian Contemporary Music Amazon MP3, #2 on iTunes Christian & Gospel, #3 on Gospel Amazon MP3, and #8 on the Billboard Gospel Chart.

The album released during The Impact Movement’s annual national conference, Impact’10, this past week in Atlanta, where over a thousand college students and young adults gathered together getting equipped to serve as Christ-centered leaders. During the conference, Level 3:16 also performed their album release concert, which was streamed live via the internet. Over 9,000 people from 35 countries around the world were able to experience the ministry of the group. Their captivating performance included dramatic interpretations of their music, Hip Hop dancers and personal stories from each member of the group. The Impact Movement’s national conference also featured other Christian Hip Hop artists alongside Level 3:16, including fellow label mates Phanatik and K-Drama, as well as artists of the likes of Trip Lee, Sho Baraka and Kirk Franklin.

First introduced to the world via a special YouTube video of an acoustic version of their song “Do My Do”, Level 3:16 is comprised of 2 male emcees, 3 female vocalists and 1 female DJ. The video quickly spread throughout the online world leaving people hungry for more. Several more videos were released, individually highlighting the emcees, the vocalists and the DJ, followed by the music video debut for the first single “Tell Em (Internal Conflict)”. The music video has struck a cord with many Christians who similarly face a daily internal struggle. The group’s online videos are available at www.youtube.com/level316.

The album Level 3:16 is available in Christian bookstores, as well as digital retailers such as iTunes and Amazon MP3.
